New DJI FPV drone is here to stay!

You might have heard some rumors already about the new DJI FPV drone. Well it’s officially launching on March 2nd and we also have some leaked specifications for you!

The drone will come with the DJI goggles & remote controller. The camera will film in 4k at 120mb/s at 60fps. No info on the sensor though. And will have a built-in stabilization.

The idea is to present an FPV drone that everyone can fly. So they have equipped it with GPS and ‘regular’ flying, as well as a return-to-home button and a panic button. Which stops the drone right away in case you lose control. Of course you can then slide it into sports mode to enjoy the full FPV experience.

On top of the remote controller, you can buy an optional motion controller, which allows to fly the drone like a WII-controller with 1 hand and motion gestures! I’m really curious to try this one out actually. If it’s good indeed, this might set the standard for future drones!

That being said, I probably won’t buy it right away. This is geared specifically towards video and FPV movements. I’m guessing the camera sensor will be medium quality at best, so for my photography game this would be downgrading from my current Mavic 2 Pro.

Update: read all the detail on the DJI FPV website.
